Meet Our Preschool Staff




Preschool Teacher- Ms. Gomez


Mrs. Gomez was born in Durango, Mexico. She has been living in Phoenix since she was 6 years old. She has been married for 35 years. She has five children and seven grandchildren. She has been both a teacher and aide for ten years. Ms. Gomez recently earned a certificate in Language Essentials for teachers of Reading and Science. In her spare time, she likes to do 3000 piece puzzles, sudoku, and reading. 


Preschool Teacher Assistant- Ms. Flanagan 



Mrs. Flanagan is originally from Puebla, Mexico. She has lived in Arizona for the past thirty-two years. She has worked at Most Holy Trinity for eight years, with six of those years in the preschool. Mrs. Flanagan recently earned a certificate of Mastery in Language Essentials for teachers of Reading and Science in 2025. Mrs. Flanagan feels very blessed to work with our youngest MHT students and shares her Catholic faith with them each day. When Mrs. Flanagan is not at school, she enjoys hiking and spending time with her children and grandchild. She also devotes prayer time at the MHT Adoration Chapel.


Pre- K Teacher- Ms. Tastet



Mrs. Tastet was born in New York and use to live in Louisiana for six years before moving to Arizona. She has been married for thirteen years and has a ten year old son who attends MHT. She has taught preschool and pre-k for over twenty five years. In 2018, she completed her teaching certificate to teach children birth to 8 years old. She recently earned a certificate of Mastery in Language Essentials for teachers of Reading and Science in 2025. She loves sharing her Catholic faith with God's little children. In her spare time, she enjoys scrapbooking, spending time with her family and helping with church and school activities.

Pre K Teacher Assistant- Ms. Orquidia


Ms. Orquidia was born in Tampico, Mexico. She has lived in Arizona for 16 years. She has a daughter in 5th grade at MHT. She has worked with children for 15 years as an infant and recently preschool teacher. She earned her Child Development Associate Credential in Preschool in 2024 as well as a certificate in Language Essentials for teachers of Reading and Science in 2025. In her free time she likes to dance. 

Preschool Director-Ms. Leah Johnson


Ms. Johnson is originally from Southern California. She received her Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Child and Adolescent Development. She recently earned a certificate of Mastery in Language Essentials for teachers of Reading and Science. She has lived in Arizona for the past 20 years.  She has worked for the military, public school system, and nonprofits as a director and early education teacher for 14 years. For 8 years, she was on the parish side working as a Youth & Young Adult Ministry coordinator. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve the littlest children in Most Holy Trinity Preschool. When Ms. Johnson is not at school, she spends time with her husband and son camping, kayaking, and cooking. She looks forward to supporting the families and children in both the faith and Catholic education.
