Preschool Overview

A Lifetime of Learning Adventures Begins at MHT Preschool!

MHT's preschool classroom introduces children to play, language development, music, art and early literacy.

Learning center activities are incorporated within a safe and enriching environment. Teachers use published Preschool Curriculum, Learn Every Day by Kaplan. This allows for exploration that include science, math, engineering, and technology components.

Preschool is intended to help each child develop their social skills and share the fun of learning in a faith filled environment.

For children who will be entering kindergarten in August of the upcoming year, the prekindergarten classroom builds on the  program introduced in preschool to better prepare them for academic success.

Most Holy Trinity Catholic Preschool strives to:

Present age appropriate activities using scripture, doctrine, prayer and liturgy.

Reinforce each child's role as a child of God and help foster growth in their relationship with Him.

Promote an atmosphere of self-respect and loving concern among parents, students, teachers and staff.

Promote the development of appropriate social skills including increased independence.

Emphasize that friendship is a basic human relationship that can be extended to everyone.

Create an atmosphere in which students feel free to express their own thoughts and feelings while respecting the rights and feelings of others.

Provide both structured and creative materials, which allow for the development of individual learning styles.

Encourage acts of self-discipline as signs of growth and maturity.

Encourage a positive self-concept. Some learning skills come naturally to children, while others are developed through a supportive environment that encourages skills, such as curiousity and making choices.
